Welcome to the measurement drawer, were all the cups, tablespoons, & teaspoons are kept!
If your like me, then sometimes you don't always want to make a whole batch of a new recipe. Sometimes I like to sample things, and quite often I find myself dividing a recipe in half, a fourth, and occasionally an eighth. When I divide a recipe I often struggle to convert some of the measurements, like trying to find 1/8th of a 1/3rd cup. Tricky, huh? ;) So I decided that it would be good to give my fellow bakers a cheat-sheet for converting your measurements. I hope this proves helpful to you:

 US Dry Volume Measurements


1/16 teaspoon dash
1/8 teaspoon a pinch
3 teaspoons 1 Tablespoon
1/8 cup 2 tablespoons (= 1 standard coffee scoop)
1/4 cup 4 Tablespoons
1/3 cup 5 Tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon
1/2 cup 8 Tablespoons
3/4 cup 12 Tablespoons
